What this page covers
DevAI Games is a small games site. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to data when you play here.
The short version: we never ask for your name, your email or a password, and saving progress is optional.
Game progress
Levels you unlock, stars, coins and high scores are written to your own browser's local storage on the device you played on.
So that progress survives a cleared cache and can follow you to a second device, a copy of your XP, coins, trophies and badges is also saved on our server against a randomly generated player id. That id is not derived from anything about you: there is no name, no email, no password and no profile attached to it. Your browser holds a token for it, and you can see everything stored against it, at any time, on the progress page.
Moving progress to another device uses a short recovery code. We store only a one-way hash of that code, which means we cannot read it back or recover it for you — if you lose it, the progress stays on the device that still has the token.
Feedback you send us
If you use a feedback form, we store the message, which page it came from, the time it was sent, and your browser's user-agent string so we can reproduce bugs. We also store a one-way hash of your IP address purely to spot floods of spam — the address itself is not kept and cannot be recovered from the hash. Giving an email address is optional and only used to reply to you. We do not add it to any mailing list and we do not pass it to anyone.
Don't put anything sensitive in a feedback message — treat it like a public comment.
Analytics
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to count page views and see which games people play. This records things like the page URL, rough geographic region, browser type and referring site — not names, emails or precise locations.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal or you use an ad blocker, analytics simply will not load and the site works exactly the same.
Advertising
The site may show advertising to cover hosting. Ad providers may set cookies or use device identifiers to limit how often you see the same ad and to measure performance. Where required by law, a consent banner will ask before any non-essential cookie is set.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not run ads targeted at children.
Games hosted elsewhere
Some games load inside a frame from another domain we control. Those pages follow the same rules described here.
Children
The site is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially, the date below changes with it. Questions about anything on this page can be sent through any feedback form on the site.
