About Wreckline Salvage Circuit
Wreckline is a demolition derby with a ledger. You enter an event, you drive into other people on purpose, and whatever is left of the field at the end decides what you get paid. The difference from a straight banger race is that the wrecks are worth something: parts come off the cars you put out, and those parts go onto yours.
The circuit runs six events, from First Contact at the Foundry Bowl up to the Circuit Crown. Early rounds only ask you to finish in the top three. The last one wants the championship outright, with twelve cars on the track and nobody interested in your bodywork.
Three arenas, and they are not the same
Foundry Bowl is a concrete amphitheatre with tyre islands, concrete blocks and a central jump. Redrock Quarry is open and dusty, which rewards cars built for speed rather than survival. Neon Harbor is the awkward one — container lanes, oil drums and narrow angles beneath the harbour floodlights.
The garage is the game
Credits come from first clears, from placings, and from salvage. They go into a car that you are building rather than choosing: each of the six chassis trades speed against strength, its engine, chassis and boost upgrades belong to that car alone, and the build that wins a four-minute Rookie derby is not the build that survives the Crown. The Marauder V8 you start in is deliberately mediocre.
Controls
Arrow keys or WASD to drive, Space for the handbrake drift, Shift to boost, hold E to reclaim salvage from a wreck, and Esc or P to pause. C cycles the camera between chase, high chase and an arena overview that is genuinely useful when you are trying to find the last running car.
How to play Wreckline Salvage Circuit
- On the main screen, choose Quick derby, Career, Knockout cup or Garage. Quick derby lets you choose the arena, 5, 7 or 11 rivals, Rookie, Club or Pro skill, and a two, three or four minute clock.
- Press Enter derby. Drive with W and S (or the up and down arrows) and steer with A and D. Holding S brakes and then reverses.
- Ram the other cars, aiming at their doors. The damage panel shows your own front, side and rear as OK, WORN or DAMAGED, and the leaderboard on screen ranks every driver by points.
- When a car is knocked out it drops glowing salvage. Stop next to it and hold E to reclaim it, which repairs your hull and refills your boost.
- When the clock runs out the boundary starts to close, and anyone outside the ring takes steady damage. Stay inside, keep knocking cars out, and survive.
- Your placing and credits appear on the results screen. Go to the Garage to buy a new chassis or upgrade the one you drive.
Wreckline tips and strategy
- Hit doors, give rear. Side impacts do 15 per cent more damage than normal, and blows to the rear do 35 per cent less. T-bone your rivals, and when you are cornered, reverse into them so they hit your boot instead of your bonnet or doors.
- Know what each damage zone costs you. Front damage cuts your acceleration and side damage cuts your steering grip. A car with WORN sides needs earlier braking before every turn-in.
- Reclaim when it is quiet. Holding E repairs almost half the damage on every zone and scores points, but you sit still while you do it. Take salvage on the far side of the arena, away from the main pile-up.
- Use Space to drift, Shift to boost. In this build Space is the handbrake drift and Shift is the boost. Drift to swing the car round so it faces a rival's side, then boost into the door.
- Use the overview camera at the end. C cycles through chase, high chase and arena overview. Once the boundary starts closing, the overview is the quickest way to find the cars that are still running.
- Points come from damage, not survival alone. The leaderboard is sorted by points from damage dealt and salvage reclaimed, so hanging back to survive can still leave you off the podium.
Cars, upgrades and the cup
There are six chassis. You start with the Marauder V8, a muscle coupe with rear armour built for reversing into rivals. The Vesper RS rally hatch is added to your garage the first time you clear First Contact (or costs 3,000 credits) and is light and quick out of a drift, but fragile in a pile-up. Further up the list, the Regent LX, Bison XT, Kodiak R and Spectre GT each need a number of career events cleared before you can buy them, and the Spectre's 17,000-credit price gets you the fastest car and the biggest boost reserve. Each chassis also has three upgrade lines (engine tuning, chassis reinforcement at 13 per cent more hull per level, and the boost system), each with three levels. Upgrades apply only to the car you have selected, so it is usually better to commit to one car than to spread your credits around.
The career fields grow from five rivals at First Contact to nine by Heavy Weather and The Reclaimers, and the clock gets longer each time. The Wreckline Cup is the change of pace: an eight-driver bracket of one-on-one eliminations with computer rivals. Your car is repaired between rounds, each round win pays 500 credits, and the champion takes a 7,500-credit bonus. A single loss ends the run.

Wreckline Salvage Circuit — frequently asked questions
Is Wreckline free?
Yes. It runs in the browser with no download and no sign-up. Your circuit progress, credits and car build save in the browser you play in.
How long is an event?
In Quick derby you set it — two, three or four minutes; career events have their own fixed clocks. Longer events favour a heavier build, because attrition starts to matter more than pace.
What does salvage actually do?
Putting a car out of an event drops salvage: stop beside it and hold E to repair your hull and refill your boost. Every knockout also pays credits, and credits are the only way to move off the starting car. Driving carefully and finishing third pays less than wrecking half the field and finishing fourth.
Can I choose how many rivals?
Yes, five, seven or eleven, and a difficulty from Rookie to Pro. Eleven rivals on Pro is a different game from five on Rookie, not a harder version of the same one.
Is there online play?
Not on this site. The game is a local career against computer-controlled rivals, and it is complete as one.
Does it work on a phone?
It runs, but it is built around a keyboard. A keyboard gives you much finer steering than touch does.
How do I repair my car during an event?
Drive to the glowing salvage a wrecked car leaves behind, stop next to it and hold E. That repairs part of the damage on every zone and refills your boost, but you are a sitting target while you do it.
How do I unlock the other cars?
The Vesper RS is given to you the first time you clear First Contact. Every other chassis has a credit price, and from the Regent LX upwards each also needs a set number of career events cleared.
What is the Knockout cup?
It is an eight-driver bracket of one-on-one derbies against computer rivals, from the quarter-final to the final. Your car is repaired between rounds, and one loss ends your run.
