About Infinite Canvas

Infinite Canvas is a board with no edges. Drop a note anywhere, sketch beside it, paste an outline and watch it fan out into a mindmap, then put a runnable snippet of code next to the whole thing. Everything shares one surface, so the shape of your thinking stays visible instead of being cut into separate documents.

The part that makes it more than a whiteboard is that things on the board actually run. A code block executes where it sits. Small apps — an art studio, a quiz game, a draw-and-guess round — open as panels on the same canvas rather than in another tab. It is closer to a workbench than a drawing app.

It works offline once it has loaded, and it does not ask for an account. Your canvases live in your own browser, which is also why nothing you make here is visible to anyone else unless you choose to share it.

How to use Infinite Canvas

Start by dragging to pan and scrolling to zoom — the board goes on as far as you need. Pick a tool from the strip along the bottom: text for a note, the shapes for boxes and circles, the pen for freehand, the bucket to fill, or the code block for something runnable. Anything you place can be moved, resized, duplicated, or pushed behind something else.

The fastest way to fill a board is the Build panel. Paste an indented outline, or one using # headings, and it turns the indentation into branches — you get a laid-out mindmap in one step instead of dragging thirty boxes into place. From there you edit it like anything else on the canvas.

What it can do

Real drawing tools

Freehand brushes with adjustable size, shapes, fills and arrows.

Runnable code blocks

Drop in a snippet and press play — it runs on the board.

Apps on the canvas

An art studio, a quiz game and a draw-and-guess round open as panels.

Works offline

Once loaded it keeps working with no connection, and no account.

Infinite Canvas — frequently asked questions

Is Infinite Canvas free?

Yes, and there is no account. The canvas runs in your browser and your boards are stored on your own device.

Where are my canvases saved?

In your own browser's storage, on the device you used. That means they survive closing the tab, but they do not follow you to another computer, and clearing your browser data clears them.

What can a code block actually do?

It runs on the board where you placed it, so you can keep a working snippet next to the notes explaining it — useful for teaching or for working something out without leaving the page.

What are the apps on the canvas?

Small tools that open as panels rather than separate pages: an art studio for painting, a quiz game, and a draw-and-guess round. They sit on the same board as your notes.

Does it work on a phone?

It will load, but panning, zooming and precise drawing all want a mouse and a decent-sized screen. A laptop or desktop is the honest recommendation.

Does it need an internet connection?

Only to load the page the first time. After that the canvas keeps working offline.
