About Stickman Video Studio
Stickman Video Studio is the making side of the same workshop that builds the games on this site. It is a stick figure animation maker that runs entirely in a browser tab: no installer, no account, no export watermark and no credit meter counting down while you work.
The thing that makes it quick to start with is the description box. You type something like "a stickman walks into a cafe, sits down, drinks coffee, then talks on the phone for 2 minutes" and it lays out a full timeline — the walk, the sit, the props, the durations — which you can then edit segment by segment. That parsing happens locally from built-in keyword understanding rather than a live AI call, which is why it is instant and why it costs nothing to run.
Underneath the shortcut is a real editor. Every character on the timeline can be hand-posed, every segment can be retimed, and if you would rather ignore the character rig altogether the Flipbook mode lets you draw the animation frame by frame with onion-skin guides showing the previous drawing. If you have used Pivot Animator or Stick Nodes, the Pose Designer will feel familiar — this is the same idea without the download.
How to use Stickman Video Studio
The fastest route is the Scene Builder. Type what you want to see, press Generate from description, and a timeline appears with one segment per beat. Each segment holds an action for every character, a duration in seconds, and optional dialogue that renders as a speech bubble. Change the art style or the background from the dropdowns on the left and the preview updates immediately.
For anything the description box does not cover, open the Pose Designer. Each limb has a handle you can drag, and every joint has a slider if you need a precise angle rather than an approximate one. A pose you build can be saved and reused later, so a move you invent once becomes part of your own action list. When the animation looks right, press Export Video and it downloads as a .webm file you can upload anywhere.

Stickman Video Studio — frequently asked questions
Is Stickman Video Studio really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no download, no watermark on exports and no paid tier. It runs in your browser, which is what keeps it free to offer.
Do I need to know how to animate?
No. The description box exists precisely so you can get a finished scene without posing anything. The manual tools are there when you want more control, not as a requirement before you start.
Does it use AI credits?
No. The description box uses built-in keyword understanding rather than a live AI model, so nothing is metered and nothing is sent anywhere to be processed.
What format does it export?
Finished animations download as .webm video files, which upload directly to YouTube, Shorts, TikTok and Instagram without conversion.
Is it an alternative to Pivot Animator or Stick Nodes?
It covers much of the same ground — jointed stick figures, frame-by-frame posing, exportable video — with the difference that it runs in a browser tab instead of being installed, so it works on a machine where you cannot install software.
Does it work on a phone?
The editor is built for a mouse and a reasonably wide screen. It will load on a tablet, but posing characters on a phone is fiddly enough that a desktop or laptop is the honest recommendation.
